Makeup Review | Sugarpill Cosmetics

Look what I received in the mail. My Sugarpill loose shadows that I have been dying to try. Has finally arrived.

I ordered two colors, Asylum and Paperdoll. Asylum is a red loose shadow with gold and red sparkles. Paperdoll is a lavender loose shadow with pink shimmer and sparkles. They are bright and pigmented. I purchased the loose shadow for $12 a piece. Not a bad price at all. I even received a sample of Magentric and a thank you note. I thought that was pretty cool.
I like Paperdoll, however I had to keep packing it on. I think I might have applied it 5 times, before I got the color I wanted. I used a base for my eyes and still have to pack a lot on. I think it is better with a white base, like Milk from NYX. I packed this shadow on dry and wet, I got the same results. It's one of those shadows that you have to build on. Once you get Paperdoll to stay on, the color is so pretty.  Below, is a look I created with Paperdoll.

Out of the two loose shadows I brought, this one is my favorite. I found that Asylum was easier to pack on. I use a base (MAC 16hr.Concealer) and the color was very bright and vibrant. I applied this shadow with a dry brush. I've been looking for a red shadow and Asylum did not disappoint. Below, is a look I created using Asylum.
