Summer Time Fun: Shades of Orange

The summer is here. That means beaches, pools and no school. Throughout the fall, spring and winter, some of us have been working really hard to get our bodies in bikini shape. In honor of the summer,  I will bring you " Summer Time Fun." This is a series of clothing, makeup looks and products, that I like to use for the summer. 

First up, my favorite lipstick shades. Your lips will be bright as the sun with these colors. Coral and Orange shades are all the rave this summer. Here are four of my favorites. 



Antwerp- NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream, $5.99, Coral Pink. I purchased this product from Ulta. It's a lip gloss and lipstick all in one. The color is bright and vibrant. It goes on creamy, silky and smooth, but dries with a matte finish. Does not last all day.

Sheen Mandarin- MAC, $16, Mid-tone Yellow Orange. Peach in color and more of a natural tone. It does not have that vibrant look, because it's a sheen color. This lipstick is part of the MAC's Sheen Supreme collection. Creamy, shiny and silky. It will last you throughout the day. 


Beta- Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) Lip Tar, $18, True Orange. Lip Tar has become one of my favorite products to use. You only need a small amount and you get a lot of coverage. The color is very bright and smooth. I used the Clear from OCC cosmetics as a base, because it dries as a matte finish. The clear gives this color its shiny and vibrant look.

Vegas Volt- MAC, $15, Coral. I went to MAC looking to buy from the "All About Orange Collection." None of the colors popped out at me. I wanted a lipstick in coral. Vegas Volt was all that and more. It is an orange-coral. Very bright and creamy. It also goes on shiny and smooth. There no need to reapply, because it will last all day.
