Lupita Nyong'o in Ralph Lauren

The 71st Annual Golden Globes kicks off the awards season in Hollywood. Some of the best in Television and Film came together to be honored for their outstanding work. My favorite, of course, is the Red Carpet. This is the time that I can give my input on the night's Hits and Misses.

This year is all about sequins, black, black and white, lace, floral, high slits, reds, greens and even baby bumps.

Best Accessory Of The Night; Baby Bumps

These ladies walked the red carpet with a bit of a glow, because they all excepting little bundles of joy. Scandal star, Kerri Washington in Balenciaga, Actress Olivia Wilde in Gucci and Actress Drew Barrymore in Monique Lhullier.

The Hits:
The Wolf On Wall Street, Actress Margot Robbie, was one my favorites. There was only one word to describe her dress, Wow. Her gown by Gucci, was white, with a slit and green and silver rhinestones at the waist and shoulder.

Actress and Johnny Depp's main squeeze, Amber Heard looked gorgeous in this midnight blue Versace gown. Her thigh-high slit was everything, she even give us some Angelina Jolie leg action.

Amy Adams, who took home the Best Actress Award for her role in "American Hustle", looked stunning. She chose a red Valentino gown, which seemed to be the color of the night.

The Misses:
Actress Paula Patton, bought "Lady Sings The Blues" back to life, with this Stephaine Rolland gown. It was gorgeous on one side, but she could have left the ruffles at home on the other side.

Jennifer Lawrence, won for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "American Hustle", but her look was not a winner. Her white and black Christian Dior gown, looked like Tulle wrap with rubber bands.

"Gravity" star Sandra Bullock, thought it was Easter Sunday. Her Prabal Gurung gown was very colorful. The dress was missing something.

What were some of your favorite "Red Carpet" looks? Leave a comment in the box below.

  1. Hey, I discovered your site through #SITSShareFest
I loved Lupita Nyong'os cape dress and she looked just as great in the white cutout gown that she wore to the critics choice awards. Margot Robbie's look was my second favorite.

I usually love a ruffled gown but Paula Patton's was much too much.
