Fashion Designers Expo Fashion Show

You are probably familiar with New York, Paris and London Fashion weeks. But, did you know that right here in our own back yard there is a three day event that showcases talented designers from across the country.

Ten emerging designers made their way to the Sofitel Hotel in Miami to showcase their hottest and latest designs. The models strut down the catwalk in everything from animal and geometric printed, tulle, feathers, swimsuits and even some bling.
This was my first Fashion Show and I was not disappointed. I though I was in a Mattress Giant commercial- Oohing and Ahing more than the audience. I could not get over how great a lot of the pieces were. Tamara Smith (Life to the 9's) pieces were amazing- I loved those maxi skirts that I can see myself twirling in. The ladies from Color Me Thick showed up and showed out. Their runway performance was very entertaining. They were very confident and it showed during their performance. They showed us that you can be a "Plus Size" women with class, confidence and grace.
