Behind The Scenes | Macy's American Icon Tour

Monday, May 18, 2015

An icon is a person or thing that represents a symbol of something. American soldiers are our real American Icons, because they symbolize what being an American is all about. They serve and put their lives on the line to protect our country. Saturday was also Armed Forces Day. So, Macy's  threw a celebration with an afternoon filled with fab, fashion, food and fun. Talitha's Take was in the building for all the festivities.

Shoppers had the chance to shop and enjoy a fashion show hosted by Lifestyle Expert, Vanessa James. The models took to the catwalk to strut in all-American pieces that celebrated fashion icons, like Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Thalia and I.N.C. International Concepts.

There was also a Fashion Happy Hour, where we enjoy delicious treats from Exquisito ChocolatesLunchology and Mama 's Guava Bars, beauty tips and manicures from Makellos Nails and Jamberry and the DJ had the music pumping.

Also, I got a chance to take an #AmericanSelfie with The Bomber Girls, I love their outfits. BTW, if you were at any of the events, show you #AmericanSelfie on Twitter or Instagram and Macy's will donate a $1 to Got Your 6 to support America's Veterans.
