Black History Month celebrates the achievements of African-Americans and it is no secret that African American actors, artists and performers have been commanding the stage for some time. Macy's is celebrating Black History Month is big way and they want you to join them as they salute some of the rising icons in the African American culture.
On February 13th, at 12 pm, join two of Hollywood's biggest African American stars, Jurnee Smollet-Bell and Taye Diggs, at the Macy's inside the Aventura Mall in Aventura, Fl.
Jurnee Smollet-Bell you may remember her as Eve Batiste in the movie Eve's Bayou. She has won awards for her role in The Great Debaters and starred in multiple TV and movies. Now she is set to star in Underground, airing on WGN America this spring.
Taye Diggs Actor and new author, has built an impressive resume on the screen and the stage. He has appeared in the play Wicked and Rent, movies like Chicago and TV shows such as Private Practice and Rosewood. Now that he's a father, Diggs is a children's author with his book, Chocolate Me, a book to inspire all children to love themseleves.
