Let's Talk Body Confidence With BooHoo

The saying goes "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," meaning that everyone perceives beauty in a different matter. People think beauty is all about what's on the outside shell. I think feeling beauty is having confidence that you look and feel good on the inside as well as the outside. When Boohoo contacted me about doing a Body Confidence Swimsuit post, I did not hesitate to get in on the opportunity. 

Growing up I was the heaviest out of my three sister's. I took all the breast and booty from them. My sisters would tease me and call me fat. Also, I could never find clothes that would fit my body type, I think I wore a size 0 like one time in my life. In high school, I was a majorette. Being a majorette meant wearing a bath suit type uniform with sequins all over the uniform.  I remember one time getting measured for my uniform and I had to pay $5 extra because of my backside. My family still teases me until this day. This brought on some insecure because I wanted a skinnier body. 
As an adult, I've learned to have confidence in myself. I am a curvy girl and I don't have the typical body type. I'm a size 12, I need jeans that stretch and yes, sometimes I have to lay flat just to zip up a dress. I wouldn't trade any that for all the tea in China. Most women lack confidence, they can't even look  in mirror at their body naked. I know women get plastic surgery just to enhance their breasts and butt. No enhancement needed here... I have it naturally. 

This summer I'm looking forward to relaxing and having fun in the sun. I'm ready for some good BBQ's, a pool or beach party and spending time with my family.
