The outside of the Hard Rock Stadium become ground zero for people who came from near and far to enjoy family, friends, food, music and the weather. And believe when I tell you, that we literally partied all night long.
Host by comedian and radio personally Rickey Smiley. This year's JITG line up did not disappoint at all. On Saturday, The Black Violin wowed the crowd with their amazing combination of classical and hip-hop music. Stephanie Mills made us Feel Good All Over when she sang some of her greatest hits. Teddy Riley did not come empty-handed. He brought along a few of his friends like Blackstreet, Guy and Bobby Brown.
Sunday, was my highlight moment. The Ojay's brought that sweet sweet music. Everyone was out of their seats forming that Love Train, (I was taking a picture of the group and Eddie Levert actually smiled at me). They were so spectacular the crowd was chanting for them to come back on stage. The best part of the night is when Lionel Richie hit the stage. He looked and sounded great. He performed hits from his solo album, as well as hits he had with the Commodores. Hits like Zoom, Dancing On The Ceiling, Brick House, Penny Lover, Three Times A Lady and my favorite Sail Away. Before the night was over he had everyone out of their seats when has performed his classic All Night Long, everyone was dancing and having a party.
I can't wait to see what the 15th Annual JITG has in store.
