Allure, Teen, People and Vogue monthly magazine subscriptions are a thing of the past. A monthly subscription to Beauty Bar (Sample Society), Glossy Box, Ipsy and Birch Box is all the rave.

Fall makeup look; MAC's Rice Paper, Cork, Brown Script, Humid and Goldmine |
We all love to shop, but in this economy some of us cannot afford to go broke. Whenever I have extra money, one of my favorite places to shop is at bebe. This week I recieved my catalog for the 2012 fall season. They had great piece, but super expensive. So, I went on another mission to find Affordable fall fashion that we all can enjoy. First, let's start with blazers, blouses, jackets and tops.
Look 1- Leopards, Cheetahs and Tigers. Oh My!! Animal prints are in for the fall. For this look paired a Leopard cardigan with a red belt(for a splash of color) and black shirt that has a sash tie. I purchased the cardigan and the belt from Love Culture, both for $11.90. A similar blouse can also be purchased at Love Culture, for $17.95

Look 2- Smooth as Velvet, shinny as Silk and classy as Lace. No, not Lace Fronts ladies. I'm talking about lace shirts, because they are the rave for the fall. Lace can easily take you from day to night. For this look I paired a black lace shirt, a pencil skirt, long earrings and a clutch. I purcashed the Lace shirt at Love Culture, for $7.90. Online you can buy it for, $3.99.
Look 3- Back in August in did a blog on Colored Block shoes. I love Color Block clothing because you have more than one color to work with. This look is paired with a colored blocked, shirt(coral and royal blue and a royal blue blazer. That will take you from the front desk, to the night club. I found two color block shirts for under $20. Love Culture, for $16.90 and Forever 21, for $19.80. The blazer can be purcased from, Forever 21, for $32.80 and Love Culture, for $22.90.
Look 4- This look is also a Color Block shirt, but in the high low style. I purchased this for Nordstrom Rack, for $16.99. I found similar styles(under $20) at, Love Culture, for $19.90 and Forever 21, for $17.80.
Look 5- For my final look, the Collared Blouse or button up. Button ups are usually worn by men, with a suit and tie. Fast forwarding to 2012, they are now worn by many women. Ditching the suit and tie. I paired this look with a pencil skirt and a clutch bag or shoulder bag. I purchased this blouse from bebe, on sale for $34. I found similar looks at Love Culture, for $19.90 and Forever 21, for $17.80.

Back in June, I did a blog on Making Your Face Your Canvas. I talked about some of my favorite makeup brushes that I like to use. I'm back with three more brushes that you should have in your makeup kit. This time I didn't get them from MAC, because these brushes are pretty pricey. I watch a lot of YouTube videos, so I can get makeup ideas. Mostly all the makeup artist uses Sigma brushes to do apply their makeup.
Pucker up everyone, the Fall Fashion 2012 season is here and everyone is all abuzz about red shades of lipsticks. You notice shades of red in almost every magazine, T.V. show or runway. I never thought of wearing red lipstick, because it always made my lip look too big. I had to search for the one that looked the best on me.

African American women's hair is referred to as coarse, kinky, nappy, thick and sometimes woolly. We spend billions of dollars coloring, perming, relaxing and weaving our hair. In 2009, Chris Rock produced a documentary named "Good Hair". The film highlighted African American women and our quest to achieve good hair. Even though, all women from different ethnic backgrounds wear hair weave. Black women make up the majority. Some women wear hair weave for fullness and length. Others, because they want to fit in with society.

French Twist
When you hear the word French, you might think french fries, french kiss or french toast. I love to get my nails done. I, also love to try different colors and designs. Unfortunately, I work at a restaurant that doesn't allow certain designs or nail polish. I used to be able to wear pastel colors, but now I can only wear French manicures. So, my nail tech came up with a solution. Doing a French Manicure with a twist.
I am now on Bloglovin, log on and follow me. You will get my lastest blogs.
Look what I received in the mail. My Sugarpill loose shadows that I have been dying to try. Has finally arrived.
I spend a lot of money on my hair extensions and I want to get my money's worth. I buy Virgin Indian Remey hair (hair that has never been processed), that cost $120 a pack. So, I like to reuse my hair at least two to three times.
Women go through great lengths trying to achieve long and luxurious eye lashes. We want to be able to fan our faces on a hot summer day. Some women use falsies (fake lashes) and others get prescribed medication (Latisse). However, I prefer not to use either one. I have nice eye lashes, but sometimes I want length and volume. So, I went out on a quest to find the perfect mascara.
Recently, I had my pregnant friend over for dinner. While I was cooking, I see her putting on baby powder. Fine, I'm thinking she wants to stay fresh on a hot day. Then, she started eating the baby powder. Strange right!

Take 4: About a year ago, I was getting a pedicure, when the nail tech noticed that I had a fungus growing on my big toe. I work as a sever, so I'm not sure if the fungus came from the standing in water, moisture from sweat or a combination both. She recommends that I try tea tree oil to get rid of my fungus. It worked!
Tea Tree Oil is one of those must haves. Not only does it get rid of fungi, but it also helps with Athlete's foot, acne, eczema, cuts, burns, congestion, head lice and dry scalp.

Friday night is my night to hang out with the girls. I want to look my best. Hair, check. Outfit, check. Oh yeah, makeup, check. The problem is, I'm always late because I'm rumbling through my makeup trying to find which colors look best.
It's time to jump on board for MAC's "Hey, Sailor" collection. This 2012 summer collection, has some fun colors that "All hands will be on deck for". I have been waiting weeks for this collection to arrive.
