Thigh-High Boots have always been a big challenge for me to wear. One, I can never find a pair that would fit my extra large calves. Most thigh-high boots don't have enough stretch to go pass my ankles. Second, I have always been afraid to wear thigh-high boots because I'm vertically challenged. I'm 5'2 and always thought that thigh-high boots would make me look a bit stumpy. Third, I live in South Florida, where gets  cold two days out of the year. So, the billion dollar question is, Can short girls wear tall boots? Sure we can. Here are a few tips:

• Find a thigh-high boot that will work for you. I found a sock boots with a heel to make me look taller. These boots had a so much stretch, not only did it fit over my calves, but it went all the way up my thigh. I was so happy.

• Don't overdo the look. I wanted my boots to the center of attention, so I wore a mini dress with minimal accessories. When you wear a mini dress and thigh-high boots together, it will elongate your legs. Giving your those supermodel legs.

• Show off a little skin, but leave enough to the imagination. It is recommended to give a three-inch space between the dress and the boots. The taller the boot the shorter the hemline. Wear fitted boot like I did because it covered my entire leg.

• Finally, walk tall in this sexy footwear with confidence.

If you are confused about what to wear to the holiday party, no worries, I've got you covered. Velvet is a classic piece that is dubbed the material of this season. This 80's trend can be found in everything from clothing, accessories, and shoes. I kind of like Velvet, it screams luxury. Now, you don't have to wait for the office party to wear velvet, because it makes a great date night outfit as well. I choose two velvet pieces... A mauve jumpsuit and a classic black bodysuit.

First let’s start with the color Red. Everyone will say your fine as wine, when you slip into the hue. Every shade of red had the runways on fire, it was the queen of all hues for fall 2017. The different shades of red, is like a box of chocolates, you can chose your flavor. This color can also be considered as the new black because it pairs great with many colors, patterns, and statement pieces. Red is one of those colors that is so rich it warms your soul.

I'm Ready to Chow Down

If you are a foodie like myself then you can't wait for August to get here. Miami Spice is a great time to plan a get together with family and friends. Every year my coworkers and I eagerly wait for Miami Spice... we plan out what restaurants we will hit up, what's offered on the menu at each restaurant and the day we are planning to go on. We usually go to about 4 restaurants.

The first restaurant we choose was the Lob Bar Sea Grille. I have been to the Lob Bar on Las Olas, this was my first time at the location on South Beach. I love the Lobster Bar because they have a great happy hour menu, the atmosphere is elegant and upscale and it is the perfect location to meet and mingle. The food is a bit pricey, so you know that my eyes lit up when I saw they were part of Miami Spice.

This weekend was Miami Swim Week, I wanted to partake in many of the activities, but the way my schedule was setup... didn't happen. So, in honor of Miami Swim Week, I bring to you the one thing I am currently obsessed with, the one piece swimsuit.

Pool Time Fun

It is the summertime here in Miami and that means we get a lot of rain. Which can make taking pictures and writing blog post very difficult. However, this weekend the weather was perfect. I decided to take my nephews and stepson to the pool. My older nephew is scared to get in the water by himself, I wanted to get in with him, but I didn't wear a swimsuit. My plan was to just lay back and watch them have fun. As I'm laying there the water started to look refreshing, I made the children get out the pool, into the car and we drove to Forever 21 so I could buy a swimsuit.
